The PB3000 is obsolete and has been replaced by our PB3100 series. Please see the PB3100.
The PB-3000 is a rice and grain moisture tester initially intended to measure the moisture content of rice imported to Japan. The base unit has been modeled after the PB-1D2 rice and grain moisture tester which is used by many companies and is highly valued for its precision and durability.
In response to rice importation from various countries around the world, calibrations within this instrument will measure short, medium, and long grain rice. In addition, domestic (Japanese) brown and polished rice moisture can also be measured. Finally, calibrations are included for pasta, tapioca flour and corn flour.

Advanced Rice Grain Freshness Tester
The "Freshness Meister" is a joint development between Kett and the Japan Grain Inspection Association.
By placing polished rice in the measuring tray, adding color with a pH indicator, then reading the sample with a scanner and analyzing the image of each individual grain of rice, it is possible to manage rice freshness using images and numerical values.
Since it is possible to quantify the testing process without relying on detecting color differences with the naked eye, it is thus possible to completely standardize the freshness measurement.
The test utilizes pH indicator specified by the Japan Grain Inspection Association.

Designed to provide immediate, accurate readings of many grains, this unit does not require adjusting or temperature correction. Fully electronic, with built-in microprocessors, the Grainer is the world's simplest, handheld multi-grain tester. The samples can range from 20-180 grams.
Twenty-six calibrations are included with the system. Select the product calibration desired, pour the sample into the container and results are shown within five seconds.
