FV201 Handheld Grain Moisture Tester

Handheld Grain Moisture Tester — Six Calibrations, Three-Second Cycle, Pocket-Sized Built for the small-grain receiving workflow, the Riceter handheld grain moisture tester delivers a moisture reading in about three seconds with factory calibrations for brown rice, milled rice, paddy, barley, naked barley, and wheat. The pocket-sized form factor and battery power make it the right tool wherever moisture readings are needed in the field, on the receiving floor, or at the bench.
  • Six factory calibrations: Brown rice, milled rice, paddy, barley, naked barley, and wheat — covering the small-grain receiving and processing workflow.
  • Three-second measurement cycle: Twist-and-read operation with automatic dual temperature compensation for fast, repeatable results.
  • Pocket-sized and battery-powered: Goes wherever the grain is — field, truck, rail car, receiving floor, or bench.
  • Pasta as an additional application: Some pasta processors and users choose this handheld instead of a dedicated desktop tester. Some accuracy trade-off applies vs. a dedicated pasta unit.

FV202 Handheld Rice Moisture Tester

Handheld Rice Moisture Tester — Eight Calibrations, Long-Grain and Parboiled Coverage, Three-Second Cycle Built for the long-grain rice and parboiled rice workflow, the Riceter handheld rice moisture tester delivers a reading in about three seconds with eight factory calibrations covering long-grain paddy, milled, and brown rice, short-grain paddy, milled, and brown rice, plus dedicated channels for long parboiled milled rice and mixed parboiled paddy. The pocket-sized form factor and battery power make it the right tool wherever rice moves through harvest, milling, processing, or shipment.
  • Eight factory calibrations: Long-grain paddy, milled, and brown rice; short-grain paddy, milled, and brown rice; long parboiled milled rice; and mixed parboiled paddy.
  • Dedicated parboiled rice channels: Two parboiled-specific calibrations the predecessor FG512 did not include, built for parboiled processors and import/export operations handling parboiled product.
  • Three-second measurement cycle: Twist-and-read operation with automatic dual temperature compensation for fast, repeatable results.
  • Pocket-sized and battery-powered: Goes wherever the rice is located: field, mill, dryer, receiving floor, or shipping dock.

RX20 Inline Grain Moisture Meter

Inline Single-Kernel Moisture Monitoring — Rice, Paddy, and Wheat Measure grain moisture continuously as it moves through your facility. The RX20 installs directly in the grain flow and reads single kernels in real time, giving millers and elevators live moisture data without pulling samples. A touch-panel controller, multi-sensor support, and data logging turn moisture readings into process control.
  • Continuous inline measurement: Reads moisture kernel by kernel at approximately 60 pieces per minute, right in the grain stream.
  • Up to ten sensors, one system: Monitor multiple points across intake, drying, and distribution from a single controller and PC.
  • Threshold alarms and reporting: Set moisture limits with siren alerts, and log results with histograms and standard deviation for homogeneity tracking.
  • Optional cloud access: View live data remotely and compare results over time, with five years of data updates included.

RX30 Inline Grain Moisture Meter

Inline Single-Kernel Moisture Monitoring — Corn, Soybean, and Grain Measure moisture continuously as grain moves through your facility. The RX30 installs directly in the grain flow and reads single kernels in real time, covering large grains like corn and soybean alongside barley, wheat, and rice. A touch-panel controller, multi-sensor support, and data logging turn moisture readings into process control.
  • Large-grain and small-grain coverage: Reads corn, soybean, barley, wheat, and major rice grains, kernel by kernel at approximately 60 pieces per minute.

Grain and Pasta Moisture Tester – PB3100

The PB-3100 is a rice and grain moisture tester initially intended to measure the moisture content of rice imported to Japan. The base unit has been modeled after the PB-1D2 rice and grain moisture tester which is used by many companies and is highly valued for its precision and durability. In response to rice importation from various countries around the world, calibrations with in this instrument will measure short, medium, and long grain rice. In addition domestic (Japanese) brown and polished rice moisture can also be measured. Finally, calibrations are included for pasta, tapioca flour and corn flour. Please select the proper model for your applications.

Handheld NIR Moisture Meter

The Original Handheld Non-Contact NIR Moisture Meter

The KJT130 is the world's first handheld portable NIR moisture meter that measures without touching the sample. A 150 mm (optimal) focal distance means you can read moisture on stationary product, on moving conveyors, inside vats, on trucks at receiving — anywhere you can point the sensor. No sample preparation. No sample handling. No cleanup.

Solving Field Measurement Challenges

  • Lab turnaround is too slow: Walking samples back to the laboratory, waiting hours for oven-dry or Karl Fischer results, then making decisions on data that no longer reflects current conditions. The KJT130 delivers laboratory-grade moisture values in seconds, at the point of use.
  • Stopping production for spot checks: Halting the line to grab a sample disrupts throughput and changes the very conditions you are trying to measure. Point the KJT130 at the moving product and read the value without stopping anything.
  • Sample preparation introduces error: Loss-on-drying and titration methods alter the sample. Inconsistent prep means inconsistent results. NIR light reads the sample as-is, with no contact, no alteration, and no operator-dependent prep step.
  • Verifying online sensors means shutting down: Calibrating or auditing an installed online system traditionally requires pulling samples and running them in the lab — or stopping the process entirely. With the KJT130, technicians can take a portable reference reading directly alongside the online sensor while production continues.

Built for the Field

The KJT130 weighs 1.1 kg and runs on a rechargeable battery for true mobility — receiving docks, supplier audits, in-vessel inspections, production line walks. The backlit LCD displays the moisture value, absorbance, calibration curve, date and time. Up to 50 calibrations are stored on board, so the meter operates as a standalone instrument without a connected PC. When PC connection is needed, RS232C communication and Kett's Tracker software handle calibration, data logging and continuous monitoring. Each KJT130 ships with Kett's one-year Total Care warranty on parts and labor and specification compliance. Post-warranty maintenance agreements are available. Need lab-grade precision with averaged sampling? The KB230 Desktop NIR Moisture Meter uses a rotating turntable to average heterogeneous samples for the highest-precision laboratory work. Need continuous process monitoring? The KB30 Online NIR Moisture Meter delivers real-time moisture values directly from the production line, 24/7, with no operator intervention.
