Inline NIR Moisture Sensor — World's Smallest Smart Sensor for Process Lines Add continuous, real-time moisture monitoring to any production line without rebuilding the system around it. The KB30 is the world's smallest and lightest inline NIR sensor, and a true smart sensor — calibrations live in the head, so the unit talks directly to your existing PLC or SCADA with no PC, no controller box, and no middleware.

Smallest Inline NIR Footprint: 7 kg, compact form factor, mounts in any orientation. Drops into existing lines, retrofits, and tight installations where larger sensors won't fit.
True Smart Sensor: 50 on-board calibrations stored in the head. No PC required for operation — the sensor measures, calculates and outputs values on its own.
Direct Plant Integration: 4–20 mA analog plus RS485/RS232 digital outputs feed directly into your PLC, SCADA, DCS or historian. Optional converters for wireless, Ethernet/IP and DeviceNet networks.
Non-Contact, Non-Destructive: 100 mm (optimal) focal length from the bottom of the air purge snout. The sensor never touches the product — no contamination, no wear, no cleanup.

High Speed Online NIR Moisture Meter: Built for Product That Comes and Goes Most online sensors assume a continuous bed of product under the head. This one was built for the opposite: discrete items moving past on a line, measured fast enough to catch each one.

Measures Intermittent Product: Fast enough for cookies, tablets, and packaged goods passing under the sensor with gaps between them.
No Moving Parts in the Optics: Pulsed infrared emitting diodes instead of a lamp and filter wheel, so nothing rotates and nothing burns out.
