PQ500 Single Kernel Grain & Rice Moisture Tester

Legacy desktop single-kernel grain and rice moisture meter. Replaced by the PQ520. The PQ500 was Kett's first-generation desktop single-kernel moisture meter, measuring kernels individually and building a moisture distribution histogram for harvest timing, drying optimization, and lot consistency verification. Current production has moved to the PQ520, which offers expanded calibrations, faster throughput, USB output, and universal voltage.

Original single-kernel design: Resistance-based measurement of each kernel, with average moisture, kernel count, and 21-segment LED histogram display.
Four factory calibrations: Wheat, barley, rice, and paddy rice. Sample sizes selectable from 10 to 1,000 kernels.

PQ100 Single Kernel Corn Moisture Meter

Legacy desktop single-kernel corn moisture meter. No direct replacement in the current Kett lineup. The PQ100 was Kett's single-kernel moisture meter for corn, measuring kernels individually using DC resistance and reporting average moisture, standard deviation, and a moisture distribution histogram. The two-piece design used a separate handheld controller with integrated thermal printer connected to the main measurement body. Corn processors and grain operations used it to detect uneven drying and verify lot consistency at the per-kernel level.

Corn-specific single-kernel design: DC resistance measurement of individual kernels, with measurement range of 9–40% and sample sizes from 11 to 599 kernels.
Two-piece form factor: Main measurement body plus separate handheld controller with LED display, keypad, and integrated thermal printer.
No direct replacement: The current Kett single-kernel measurement option is the RX inline series, automated for installed grain handling systems rather than desktop operation. Contact Kett for guidance.
