The MT100 took resistance moisture measurement out of the benchtop station and into a single pocket-sized handheld. Where earlier meters tethered the operator to a fixed unit, the MT100 put the probe, electronics, and display in one 280-gram body: insert the needle, read the value, move to the next board. Its electrical-resistance method made it a practical companion for shops, small mills, and anyone who needed a quick moisture check on the move.

What the MT100 Did

• Direct pin reading: The needle probe measured electrical resistance through the wood, translating it to moisture content with no sample preparation.
• Species correction: Selectable broad/needle calibration plus a printed correction chart let users adjust readings for different wood types.
• Working range to 40%: Covered the practical moisture band for drying, storage, and pre-machining checks on a dry-weight basis.
• True portability: At 280 g on two AA batteries with roughly 40 hours of life, it went wherever the wood was.
