Rice grading and whiteness measurement depend on a clean, consistently finished sample. The TP3000 is the latest Pearlest, built around a DC motor that runs cooler for longer sessions while keeping the rubber-plate polishing surface that made the Pearlest the standard for test-sample bran removal.

Solving Sample-Prep Challenges

• Motor heat on repeat samples: the DC motor generates little heat, enabling long-hour operation and back-to-back polishing.
• Small-batch brewers’ rice: polishes a small amount of brewers’ rice that conventionally needed a large-batch special polisher.
• Slow turnaround between samples: the motor-linked lever ejects the polished sample with a single push.
• Messy bran handling: a transparent bran receptacle shows when it needs emptying and contains the bran at the back of the unit.

The TP3000 handles nonglutinous and glutinous brown rice, brewers’ rice, and (with optional parts) barley. A spoonful of sample (approximately 10 g) polishes in 30 to 60 seconds depending on grain type. Sample scatter-proof and motor overload protection keep operation safe, and a status lamp signals motor errors. Universal 100 to 240 V power suits any bench.
