Description
The Instant Standard for Rice Whiteness and Milling Control
Whiteness is how rice millers and processors judge polishing. The more the bran layer is removed, the whiter the grain reads. The C600 turns that relationship into a fast, objective number, so you can confirm milling degree at the line instead of judging by eye.
Solving the Day-to-Day Measurement Problems
- Slow, subjective checks: A whiteness value appears in about one second, replacing visual judgment with a repeatable reading anyone on the floor can take.
- Inconsistent samples: The fixed-quantity shooter and sample cup load the same volume every time, so readings reflect the rice, not how it was poured.
- Drift over a long shift: A one-click check against the included optical standard restores factory sensitivity in seconds, with no complicated field adjustment.
- Measuring different rice types: Reads polished, brown, and pre-washed rice, both glutinous and non-glutinous, from the same instrument.
Laboratory-Level Precision, Built for the Production Floor
The C600 delivers bench-instrument accuracy in a housing made to work where rice is actually milled. It has no moving optical parts, so vibration and orientation on a working floor do not throw off the reading. A blue LED light source runs cooler and lasts longer than the older lamp design, and the instrument is ready to measure about 20 seconds after power-on. At 5 kg and a compact footprint, it moves easily between bench and line. Universal 100–240V power means no voltage dial to set. Routine upkeep is a one-minute wipe of the single glass filter. Every C600 ships direct from Kett and is backed by Kett service and calibration support.
Measuring powders instead of whole rice? The C130 Powder Whiteness Tester brings the same instant reflectance measurement to starch, flour, and other powders with user-definable calibration curves.
