The PM4044 measures moisture across a 240 mL sample and returns an instant, non-destructive reading. Its calibration set spans the major grains and oilseeds and adds a dedicated hazelnut calibration, and it compensates automatically for the actual density and temperature of each sample.
At roughly one kilogram and powered by four AA batteries, the PM4044 moves from the receiving line to the orchard floor without sample preparation. Pour the sample, read the moisture, and move on.
The PM4044 is no longer manufactured. The upgraded instrument is our PM450 Instant Grain and Seed Moisture Meter, which expands coverage to 39 factory calibrations spanning grains, oilseeds, nuts, and seeds. Kett continues to provide parts, service, and support for PM4044 units already in the field.
