The C100 Powder Whiteness Tester Has Been Replaced
The C100 measured the whiteness of powders across a range of industries, from starch and flour to sugar and pharmaceuticals, using selectable color filters matched to the sample. It is no longer manufactured. For current production, the C130 Powder Whiteness Tester is the direct replacement.
What the C100 Did
Built around a tungsten lamp with three selectable filters, the C100 let operators choose the filter best suited to each powder. Paired with the C300 rice tester, it was a worldwide whiteness and purity reference in its era, valued for versatility across many different powder types.
Why the C130 Is the Upgrade
- Store your own calibrations: The C130 holds up to nine user-defined calibration curves, replacing fixed filter selection with measurement matched to your exact powders and standards.
- Smaller and lighter: A redesigned chassis cut the footprint by roughly half, freeing bench and floor space.
- Less sample, faster prep: The C130 needs only about 5.5g of starch per test, roughly half the older requirement.
- Blue LED light source: Longer source life, sharply lower power consumption, and less heat than the C100’s tungsten lamp.
Looking for the current model? The C130 Powder Whiteness Tester delivers whiteness measurement for virtually any powder with user-definable calibrations and laboratory-level precision built for the production floor.
