FD800 Advanced Moisture Balance – Premier Dual-Sensor Technology
The FD800 is the premier moisture balance in our product line. It is controlled by a revolutionary dual temperature sensor method providing unsurpassed accuracy even on products that have historically created problems for Loss on Drying (LOD) methods.
Prevents Sample Scorching: A non-contact infrared sensor (T2) continually monitors the sample's actual surface temperature, automatically adjusting heat to prevent burning or deformation.
Accelerated Drying Times: By tracking both ambient and surface temperatures, the FD800 safely boosts initial drying until a setpoint is met, reducing cycle time by up to 50%.
Superior Precision: Utilizes a Unibloc balance for extreme stability and a 25,000-hour MTBF Mid-Infrared Quartz heater for years of zero-maintenance use.
Unique innovative design minimizes the chance of scorching a test sample. A traditional temperature sensors automatically controls the drying temperature. A second, separate infrared temperature sensor monitors the surface temperature of the sample. If the temperature approaches a level that would scorch or burn the sample, the drying temperature is automatically adjusted downward. This avoids scorching and bad test results.
Both temperature settings are customer selectable. Using high speed quartz heating elements, the FD800 provides unsurpassed direct LOD drying and full ISO compliance.
The large pan (almost 5" in diameter) and large sample capacity (up to 120 grams) allows heterogeneous samples to be accurately tested. Also, homogenous samples may be quickly dried by spreading them on the large heating tray.
Quartz heating elements provide 3-5 times the life of halogen competitors, while providing the same fast start-up times. This provides a lower total cost of ownership without any productivity sacrifice.
Direct connect connections interface to almost any Microsoft Office application for smoother data capture and ISO compliance.

Universal Moisture Balance – Advanced LOD Drying with Quartz Precision
The Kett FD720 delivers unsurpassed direct Loss on Drying (LOD) measurement. Engineered with a mid-IR quartz heating element, it provides fast startup times and lasts 5-10 times longer than traditional halogen systems.
Industry-Leading 120g Capacity: The large 130mm pan handles non-homogenous samples and allows homogeneous samples to be spread thinner for significantly faster drying.
Eliminates Thermal Drift: A patented internal auto-taring mechanism systematically checks the balance during operation, guaranteeing zero drift even during 4-hour continuous tests.
Dramatically Faster Throughput: A built-in predictive measuring mode truncates tests the moment results fall within your defined tolerances, saving critical lab time.

The High-Efficiency Standard: Research-Grade Results with Simple Operation
The FD660 provides many features typically only found in higher-priced competitive instruments. Using the traditional loss-on-drying (LOD) technique, this simple-to-use device automatically weighs, dries, and analyzes samples. It is designed to provide faster feedback to your production staff, ultimately improving product yield and quality.
Key Engineering Advantages
Extremely Low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO): Combined with a unique temperature-isolating design, the extended heater life ensures years of repeatable testing with minimal maintenance costs.
Simple "Pour and Push" Operation: To test a sample, simply select the drying program, pour the sample into the tray, close the lid, and push the measure button.
Data Management: Easily store up to 5 test protocols and 50 measurements directly on the device. Test data can be exported via an RS232C output to optional printers or PC software.
Guaranteed Confidence
Kett stands behind the FD660 with our unique Total Care Warranty. This warranty covers parts, labor, and specification compliance, backed by over 65 years of moisture meter manufacturing excellence.
