Flagship Moisture Balance — Dual Temperature Control for Complex, Scorch-Prone Samples
The top of Kett's loss-on-drying line, built for the materials that defeat ordinary balances: liquids, pastes, powders, and large particulates. A second, non-contact sensor reads the sample surface directly, so heat-sensitive and volatile samples dry fast without burning. On the proven FD720 platform, including the large 120 g capacity, six drying modes, patented auto-taring, the FD800 handles a demanding mix of materials with primary-method accuracy.
Dual temperature control: A chamber thermistor plus a non-contact radiation thermometer that controls to the sample surface up to 250 °C. This is aggressive heat for speed, eased down as the surface dries.
Predictive measuring mode: Compares projected against actual weight change and ends the test once results meet confidence limits resulting in maximum throughput without cutting a reading short.
Guaranteed accuracy from a primary method: Loss on drying measures mass loss directly; run to completion, the result is definitive and stands up to scrutiny.
Stored profiles and results memory: Ten stored measuring conditions for instant recall across materials, plus on-board memory for 100 results.
Infrared Moisture Determination Balance: Analytical-Balance Drying to 0.01%
A laboratory loss-on-drying moisture balance pairing a 1 mg analytical balance with a 400-watt infrared lamp to display moisture to 0.01%. Four measurement modes and ten stored condition areas adapt drying to each sample.
Digital Infrared Moisture Balance: Analytical Precision for Large Samples
A bench moisture balance combining infrared drying with a digital analytical balance, reading weight to 1 milligram and moisture to 0.01% on samples up to 300 grams. Programmable temperature and time with selectable measurement basis.
Large capacity: 1 to 300 gram samples on a 130 mm pan.
Selectable readout: 0.01% or 0.1% resolution, wet, dry, or dry-matter basis.
Programmable drying: 50 to 200 °C with time, continuous, and automatic modes.
