The PM300 measures moisture across a weighed sample and returns an instant, non-destructive reading. A built-in thermistor corrects automatically for sample temperature, so one portable meter handles a wide range of commodities without sample preparation.

Built for Operations That Test Many Commodities

• Broad calibration coverage: 27 factory calibrations across the major grains plus coffee, tea, nuts, and flours.
• Coffee through every stage: dedicated calibrations for raw, green, roasted, and parchment coffee follow the bean from intake to roast.
• Automatic temperature compensation: a built-in thermistor corrects for sample temperature so readings stay consistent as conditions change.
• Average for confidence: average up to nine readings for a stable figure across a lot.

Portable and Battery-Powered

An included scale and hopper set each sample to the correct weight for its commodity before measurement. At roughly one kilogram and powered by four AA batteries, the PM300 moves from the receiving table to the processing floor without a power outlet.

Service and Replacement

The PM300 is no longer manufactured. The upgraded instrument is our PM450 Instant Grain and Seed Moisture Meter, which weighs each sample automatically with a built-in load cell, so there is no separate scale or hopper to set, and expands coverage to 39 factory calibrations. Kett continues to provide parts, service, and support for PM300 units already in the field.
