Instant Composition Data, Straight from Your Process Line

Lab composition testing tells you what your product was — the KJT70 tells you what it is right now. Mounted above the process line, this online near-infrared composition meter reads moisture, protein, fat/oil, and other organic components as product passes beneath it, with no contact, no sampling, and no interruption to production.

Solving Real Process-Control Problems

• Lab results arrive too late: Non-contact NIR measurement reads the process continuously, updating the output every 0.1 seconds so a drifting line is corrected before it produces off-spec product.
• One line runs many products: Up to 50 calibrations are stored on the sensor head itself, so changeovers are a channel selection, not a recalibration. Unlimited calibrations can be developed and managed in Tracker software on a connected PC.
• The plant floor is a hostile place: The cast aluminum housing is dust- and drip-resistant, an air-purge hood keeps the optics clear, and an optional cooling fan extends operation into environments up to 65°C.
• Instruments fail silently: Built-in self-diagnostics monitor reflectance, motor rotation, internal temperature, and channel status — and can be checked remotely, so a problem announces itself before it costs you product.

Two Configurations

The KJT70 ships in a five-filter and a seven-filter configuration, set at the factory. The seven-filter version carries additional measurement wavelengths for more demanding multi-component applications. Contact Kett to match the configuration to your product.

Built for Unattended Process Duty

The KJT70 measures from approximately 170 mm above the product with no controller required — PC software is standard, and a dedicated controller remains available as an option. Output feeds your control system directly over 4–20 mA, with RS-485 and RS-232C for configuration and data. Temperature compensation holds readings stable as conditions change, and the ceiling-mount design keeps the sensor out of the product path entirely.
