Instant Desktop Moisture Testing by Near-Infrared Light
The KJT200 brought near-infrared moisture testing to the benchtop, replacing slow drying ovens and hazardous reagent methods with a fast, non-destructive reading. Place a sample on the rotating turntable, and the instrument averages moisture across the full sample surface in seconds.
Why Benchtop NIR Replaced Ovens and Reagents
- Slow drying and reagent methods: Near-infrared light returns a moisture reading in about two seconds, so batches move without waiting on a drying cycle.
- Uneven samples: The rotating turntable measures across the entire sample surface rather than a single spot, steadying readings on grains, powders, and granular materials.
- Sample loss: The reading is non-destructive. Light does not heat or alter the material, so the sample can return to the batch.
- Operator variation: Automatic zero correction and stored calibration channels keep results consistent across operators and shifts.
Built for the Bench
The KJT200 stores up to 50 calibration channels, builds calibration curves through its PC software, and runs standalone once curves are loaded. A tungsten lamp rated for roughly 20,000 hours and automatic self-diagnostics support long service life. Every Kett instrument carries a One Year Total Care Warranty covering parts, labor, and specification compliance, with Maintenance Agreements available.
Service and Replacement
The KJT200 is no longer manufactured. The upgraded instrument is our KB230 Desktop NIR Moisture Meter, which delivers the same instant, non-destructive turntable measurement with higher precision and modern connectivity.
