Portable Moisture Testing You Carry to the Material
The KJT100 brought near-infrared moisture testing into a handheld, battery-powered instrument. Point it at a surface from about 150 mm, and it reads moisture content in roughly two seconds, with no contact and no sample preparation. A built-in distance-indicator beam sets the correct standoff every time.
Built for Measurement Beyond the Bench
- Samples you cannot bring to a lab: The handheld, battery-powered design goes to webs, sheets, piles, and moving lines for readings taken in place.
- Contact and surface damage: Non-contact reflectance from about 150 mm reads finished and delicate surfaces without touching them.
- Inconsistent hand positioning: The built-in distance-indicator beam, a red dot centered in a brighter white beam, fixes the correct 150 mm standoff for repeatable readings.
- Slow drying methods: A near-infrared reading returns in about two seconds, selectable on a dry or wet basis.
Built for Portable QC
The KJT100 stores up to 50 calibration channels with linear, quadratic, or cubic curve fitting, holds up to 99 time-stamped readings in memory, and offers sample, monitor, and average measurement modes. Two-level password protection guards stored settings, a tungsten lamp rated for roughly 20,000 hours supports long service life, and RS-232C connects the unit to a PC or printer. At about 1.1 kg, it travels easily. Every Kett instrument carries a One Year Total Care Warranty covering parts, labor, and specification compliance, with Maintenance Agreements available.
Service and Replacement
The KJT100 is no longer manufactured. The upgraded instrument is our KJT130 Handheld NIR Moisture Meter, which carries forward the same non-contact, portable measurement with higher precision and modern connectivity.
