The CN700-2 Online Whiteness Monitor Has Been Discontinued
The CN700-2 brought whiteness measurement onto the production line. Where the bench instruments measure one sample at a time, the CN700-2 monitored whiteness continuously and without contact, using two sensors on a single controller to read two points in the process simultaneously. It is no longer manufactured, and there is no direct replacement in the current Kett lineup.
What the CN700-2 Did
- Continuous, non-contact monitoring: Measured whiteness as product moved through the line, without stopping or sampling it.
- Two-point measurement: A single controller ran two sensors, monitoring two locations in the process at the same time.
- Broad material coverage: Read whiteness on rice, salt, sugar, flour, and starch in whole or powder form.
- Built-in record-keeping: An integrated thermal printer supported control charting on the floor.
Current Measurement Options
There is no current Kett instrument that directly replaces inline whiteness monitoring. For whiteness measurement today, the bench-top C600 Rice Whiteness Tester and C130 Powder Whiteness Tester provide fast, repeatable readings for rice and powders respectively. If your need is continuous inline measurement, contact Kett to discuss current options for your process.
