The PM4027 measures moisture across a 240 mL sample and returns an instant, non-destructive reading. Its calibration set is built for the coffee and specialty trade, covering raw, green, and roasted coffee alongside the major grains, and it compensates automatically for the actual density and temperature of each sample.

• Coffee through every stage: dedicated calibrations for raw, green, and roasted coffee, so one meter follows the bean from intake to roast.
• Specialty crops covered: calibrations for peanuts, black pepper, and mung bean alongside wheat, barley, corn, soybeans, sorghum, and rice.
• Automatic density and temperature compensation: the integrated balance reads each sample’s actual density and a sensor corrects for temperature.
• Tune and average: a per-grain bias adjustment and averaging of up to nine readings keep results steady across a lot.

Portable and Battery-Powered

At roughly one kilogram and powered by four AA batteries, the PM4027 goes from the receiving table to the roastery without sample preparation. Pour the sample, read the moisture, and move on.

Service and Replacement

The PM4027 is no longer manufactured. The upgraded instrument is our PM450 Instant Grain and Seed Moisture Meter, which covers coffee from cherry through roasted bean within 39 factory calibrations spanning grains, nuts, and seeds. Kett continues to provide parts, service, and support for PM4027 units already in the field.
