Whiteness Measurement for Virtually Any Powder, on Your Own Standard
Powder producers judge quality by whiteness, but every product and every customer defines the target differently. The C130 measures whiteness in about two seconds and lets you set up your own calibration curves, so the number on the display means what it needs to mean for your product line.
Solving the Day-to-Day Measurement Problems
- One factory curve does not fit every powder: Build up to nine of your own calibration curves to match starch, flour, sugar, cement, pharmaceuticals, or a customer-specified standard.
- Slow, fussy sample prep: A redesigned sample case needs only about 5.5g of starch, roughly half the older design, so prep is faster and uses less product.
- Not knowing when the instrument needs attention: The C130 measures the included whiteness standard and flags when a sensitivity adjustment is actually due, instead of forcing a check before every reading.
- Floor conditions that disturb optics: No moving optical parts and built-in temperature compensation keep readings stable where powders are actually produced.
Laboratory-Level Precision, Built for the Production Floor
The C130 delivers bench-instrument accuracy in a housing made to work where powders are processed. It reads to 0.1 whiteness with ±0.1% accuracy, has no moving optical parts, and uses a blue LED source that runs cool and lasts far longer than the older lamp design. A compact redesign cut the footprint by about half and dropped power consumption sharply against the previous model. The instrument is ready to measure about 20 seconds after start-up, shows results on a clear fluorescent display, and outputs to a thermal printer for record-keeping. Every C130 ships direct from Kett and is backed by Kett service and calibration support.
