4.5 N·m on Air. Pilot Batches, No Power.
Pilot batches in a room that allows nothing electric used to mean a bench air mixer running past its limit. This mixer pairs a 0.3 HP air motor with the large gearbox proven in the BLW series and a ø13 drill chuck for thick shafts, on a fixed arm rod with no moving parts to work loose under load. Rated 190 rpm with 4.5 N·m allowable torque, for pastes, adhesives, and sealants at pilot scale. Nothing electrical enters the room.
Bench air mixers pushed past their torque in big vessels: The BLW gearbox and ø13 chuck bring pilot-plant torque to an air drive, with a fixed heavy arm rod that stays put under load.
Air mixers that arrive as a kit of parts: The separator unit with filter, lubricator, regulator, and turbine oil ships in the box with the hose, chuck handle, and clamp holder.
Overload that breaks the gears: Allowable torque is a hard limit on an air motor, so match the model to the material: lower rated speed, higher torque.
Remote-Controlled High Torque Mixing System — No Longer Manufactured
This system paired a high-torque laboratory mixer with a separate control box, so speed and direction could be set from outside a fume hood or from process equipment. It shipped as a complete package ready to mix high-viscosity and changing-viscosity materials.
Remote control box: Speed and direction set away from the mixer, or by an external analog signal.
Speed and torque output: Analog output let a data logger or PC track viscosity changes during a run.
Complete system: Mixer, controller, support stand, shaft, and blade in one package.
Pilot-Batch Torque on Compressed Air.

This mixer pairs a 0.3 HP air motor with the large gearbox proven in the BLW series and a ø13 drill chuck for thick shafts, on a fixed arm rod with no moving parts to work loose under load. Rated 400 rpm with 2.2 N·m allowable torque, for solvent coatings, gels, and creams in large vessels. Nothing electrical enters the room.

Air-Driven Solvent Blending at Pilot Scale.

This mixer pairs a 0.3 HP air motor with the large gearbox proven in the BLW series and a ø13 drill chuck for thick shafts, on a fixed arm rod with no moving parts to work loose under load. Rated 700 rpm with 1.2 N·m allowable torque, for large solvent solutions, inks, and thinned coatings. Nothing electrical enters the room.
