Dual-Substrate Coating Gauge — Automatic Detection, One-Piece Design
Measure coatings on steel, aluminum, and other metals with a single handheld gauge. The LZ990 senses the substrate and selects the right measurement method on its own, so there is no probe to swap and no mode to set by hand.
Automatic substrate recognition: Reads ferrous and non-ferrous parts without operator input
0 to 2000 um range: Covers thin plating through heavy coatings in one tool
Onboard memory and statistics: Stores about 1000 readings with USB and RS-232C output
16 calibration channels: Store setups for repeat jobs, with a lower-limit alarm
Integrated Dual Coating Gauge — No Longer Manufactured
The LZ900 measured coatings on both ferrous and non-ferrous metal from a single integrated probe, with manual mode selection. It has been replaced by the LZ990, which detects the substrate automatically and adds memory and PC output in the same one-piece form factor.
Dual-substrate measurement: electromagnetic and eddy current readings, manual FE/AL mode select, both substrates included
Integrated probe: sealed handheld body, spring-loaded probe for curved and edged parts
Replaced by the LZ990: automatic substrate detection plus memory, longer range, and PC output for the same price
Integrated Non-Ferrous Coating Gauge — No Longer Manufactured
The LH900 measured insulating coatings on aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous metal from a single integrated probe body. It has been replaced by the LZ990, which reads both non-ferrous and ferrous substrates automatically in one one-piece tool.
Non-ferrous measurement: eddy current readings on aluminum and other non-magnetic metal, aluminum substrate included
Integrated probe: sealed handheld body, spring-loaded probe for curved and edged parts
Replaced by the LZ990: adds ferrous, longer range, memory, and PC output in the same form factor
Integrated Ferrous Coating Gauge — No Longer Manufactured
The LE900 measured non-magnetic coatings on iron and steel from a single integrated probe body. It has been replaced by the LZ990, which reads both ferrous and non-ferrous substrates automatically in one one-piece tool.
Ferrous measurement: electromagnetic readings on iron and steel, iron substrate included
Integrated probe: sealed handheld body, spring-loaded probe for curved and edged parts
Replaced by the LZ990: adds non-ferrous, longer range, memory, and PC output in the same form factor
