dispersing blade

Turbine Mixing Blade ø86 mm

Shear for Dispersing and Dissolving.

A radial-flow turbine that puts shear into the batch: powders wet in, emulsions form, solids dissolve. A ø86 mm dispersing blade from the Three-One general-purpose line, press-formed in SUS-316 for everyday laboratory service. Supplied as SUS-316 tip, SUS-316 boss, or Titanium tip.

  • Best for: dispersing, emulsifying, and dissolving in thin liquids up to about 1,000 mPa·s
  • Shear work: radial discharge and blade edges break agglomerates and droplets that a propeller only stirs around
  • Fits every ø8 mm shaft: Tip mount fixes at the shaft end with the nut supplied on every Heidon ø8 mm shaft; boss mount clamps anywhere on the shaft with a set screw and stacks for multi-stage mixing

Price range: $22.00 through $55.00

Dispa Dispersing Blade

High Shear Where the Batch Needs Breaking Down.

A saw-tooth dispersing disc that puts intense shear at the blade rim: agglomerates break, pigments wet in, emulsions tighten. Part of Heidon's handmade mixing-efficiency line: fabricated rather than pressed, for benches where blade geometry decides the result. Available in ø40, ø60, ø80, ø100 mm.

  • Best for: dispersing, emulsifying, and dissolving up to about 10,000 mPa·s
  • Shear at the rim: the toothed disc works at the blade edge, where tip speed is highest
  • Handmade line: fabricated stainless construction, sized in steps so the blade can be matched to the vessel

Price range: $88.00 through $132.00

Blade Turbine

Radial Shear in a Handmade Turbine.

A flat-blade turbine with the sharper edges and tighter tolerances of the handmade line, for dispersing work a pressed turbine cannot finish. Part of Heidon's handmade mixing-efficiency line: fabricated rather than pressed, for benches where blade geometry decides the result. Supplied in ø80 mm.

  • Best for: dispersing and dissolving in thin to medium liquids
  • Radial discharge: flat blades throw material outward, drawing fresh batch into the shear zone
  • Handmade line: fabricated stainless construction, sized in steps so the blade can be matched to the vessel

Disc Turbine

Dispersing Power for Thicker Batches.

A Rushton-style disc turbine: vertical blades on a disc, for shear work in syrups and creams where a plain turbine loses grip. Part of Heidon's handmade mixing-efficiency line: fabricated rather than pressed, for benches where blade geometry decides the result. Available in ø40, ø80, ø100, ø120 mm.

  • Best for: dispersing and emulsifying in medium-viscosity liquids around 10,000 mPa·s
  • Disc-mounted blades: the disc forces flow through the blade tips instead of letting it bypass along the shaft
  • Handmade line: fabricated stainless construction, sized in steps so the blade can be matched to the vessel

Price range: $88.00 through $165.00

Curved Disc Turbine

Curved Blades, Small Vessel, Efficient Shear.

The disc turbine's curved-blade variant, ø40 mm for beakers and small reactors. Part of Heidon's handmade mixing-efficiency line: fabricated rather than pressed, for benches where blade geometry decides the result. Supplied in ø40 mm.

  • Best for: dispersing in small vessels with reduced power draw
  • Curved profile: lower drag at the same shear, useful on the 40 W class in small vessels
  • Handmade line: fabricated stainless construction, sized in steps so the blade can be matched to the vessel
