Continuous Internal Moisture Measurement on the Line

The MM94L put through-sample moisture measurement directly into the production process. Microwave energy transmitted through the moving product, delivering real-time internal moisture readings on liquids, solids, and slurries without sampling, contact, or sample preparation — even through packaging.

What Made the MM94L Different

• True Process Control: Up to 100 readings per second with adjustable moving-average smoothing gave a stable, real-time signal for closed-loop control
• Plant-Floor Integration: 4–20 mA output, high/low alarm contacts, and RS-232C fed measurements straight into existing control systems
• Compensated Accuracy: Integrated temperature, weight, and timing inputs corrected for changing line conditions
• Rugged and Compact: Built for unfriendly environments and minimal space, with over 1,000 systems installed worldwide

Service and Replacement

The MM94L is no longer manufactured. There is no direct microwave replacement in the current Kett lineup. For online non-contact, nondestructive moisture measurement today, the current option uses NIR technology.
