Sealed-Sample Measurement for the Highest Desktop Precision

The KJT270A takes near-infrared composition analysis a step further by enclosing the sample during measurement. A sample holder tray draws the sample dish inside the instrument, sealing out ambient light so the reading reflects the material alone. The result is the finest precision in Kett’s desktop composition line, from a single non-destructive test in seconds.

Where Precision Matters Most

• Ambient-light interference: Drawing the sample inside the instrument eliminates stray light, the largest source of drift in open-sample optical measurement.
• Tight specification limits: Composition is measured to ±0.0001%, an order of magnitude finer than standard desktop analysis, for products held to demanding tolerances.
• A separate test for every component: One measurement returns moisture, fat, protein, and other organic components together, replacing methods run one at a time.
• Sample loss: The reading is non-destructive. Light does not heat or alter the material, so the sample can return to the batch.

Built for the Bench

Each sample is drawn in and measured in six to ten seconds, with results shown on the instrument and on a connected PC through Kett’s data software. The KJT270A stores up to 50 calibration channels, one per component, and password protection guards stored calibrations. Every Kett instrument carries a One Year Total Care Warranty covering parts, labor, and specification compliance, with Maintenance Agreements available.

Service and Replacement

The KJT270A is no longer manufactured. The upgraded instrument is our KB270 Desktop NIR Composition Meter, which carries forward the same high-precision, multi-component measurement with modern connectivity.
