Instant Internal Moisture Measurement at the Bench

The MM94T brought through-sample moisture measurement to near-line sampling and laboratory analysis. Because microwave energy transmits through the entire sample rather than reflecting off its surface, it delivered accurate readings on heterogeneous materials, multilayered products, and samples with encapsulated moisture.

What Made the MM94T Different

• Heterogeneous Samples: Through-transmission measurement averaged the full sample volume, unaffected by color, surface texture, or moisture distribution
• Speed Without Prep: Samples tested as fast as they could be placed on the platform — no grinding, weighing, or drying
• Simple Calibration: Menu-driven calibration against laboratory standards, completed in minutes, with up to 50 calibrations stored onboard
• Data Ready: RS-232C output streamed measurements for monitoring and database updates

Service and Replacement

The MM94T is no longer manufactured. There is no direct microwave replacement in the current Kett lineup. For desktop non-contact, nondestructive moisture measurement today, the current option uses NIR technology.
