Coating Thickness Gauges

LE300 Ferrous Coating Thickness Gauge

Electromagnetic coating thickness gauge for coatings on steel and iron, no longer in production. The LE300 measured non-magnetic coatings such as paint, plating, and lining on magnetic substrates from a pocket-size handheld unit. It has been succeeded by the L600S, which carries the same ferrous measurement with far greater memory, a color display, and USB-C output.
  • No longer manufactured: The LE300 has reached end of life. The L600S is its current production replacement.
  • Electromagnetic measurement: Non-magnetic coatings on iron, steel, and other magnetic substrates.
  • Pocket-size and simple: Non-volatile calibration memory and one-handed operation for straightforward field measurement.

LH300 Non-Ferrous Coating Thickness Gauge

Eddy current coating thickness gauge for coatings on aluminum, copper, and brass, no longer in production. The LH300 measured insulating coatings on non-magnetic metal substrates from a pocket-size handheld unit. It has been succeeded by the L600S, which carries the same non-ferrous measurement with far greater memory, a color display, and USB-C output.
  • No longer manufactured: The LH300 has reached end of life. The L600S is its current production replacement.
  • Eddy current measurement: Insulating coatings on aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-magnetic metals.
  • Pocket-size and simple: Non-volatile calibration memory and one-handed operation for straightforward field measurement.

LZ300 Dual Coating Thickness Gauge

Dual-substrate coating thickness gauge for ferrous and non-ferrous work, no longer in production. The LZ300 measured non-magnetic coatings on steel and insulating coatings on aluminum, copper, and brass from a single pocket-size handheld unit, switching between electromagnetic and eddy current probes. It has been succeeded by the L600S, which carries the same dual capability with far greater memory, a color display, and USB-C output.
  • No longer manufactured: The LZ300 has reached end of life. The L600S is its current production replacement.
  • Dual measurement: Electromagnetic and eddy current modes in one unit, covering both magnetic and non-magnetic substrates.
  • Pocket-size and simple: Non-volatile calibration memory and one-handed operation for straightforward field measurement.

LU200 Ultrasonic Coating Thickness Gauge

Ultrasonic Coating Thickness Gauge — Non-Metallic Substrates, Handheld, Non-Destructive Measure coatings on resins, polymers, plastics, concrete, and mortar instantly and non-destructively — surfaces where eddy-current and magnetic-induction gauges cannot work. Calibrate against known thicknesses, place the probe on the coating, and read the result on the LCD.
  • Ultrasonic Measurement: Reads coating thickness on non-metallic substrates, and polymer or resin coatings on thin metallic substrates
  • Non-Destructive: Replaces cross-sectional analysis and scratch testing — no sample damage, no lab turnaround
  • Portable: Battery operated with statistics functions and Hi/Lo alarms, for laboratory-quality measurement anywhere
