4.5 N·m. Pilot-Plant Torque on a Lab Stand.

When a bench mixer bogs down in a 20-liter vessel of paste, the answer is not a bigger bench mixer. The 300 rpm model of the 120 W Three-One Motor series delivers 4.5 N·m, four times the torque of the standard line, through a drill chuck that takes ø12 shafts and the large 12-series blades. Feedback control holds any speed from 5 to 300 rpm as the batch thickens.

• Mixers killed by overload: The current limiter keeps the motor driving through loads that shut ordinary mixers down. No throw-away mixers, no burned-out windings, no throw-away batches.
• Bench mixers that stall in pilot batches: 4.5 N·m turns pastes, creams, and heavy gels in vessels a 40 W or 80 W mixer cannot keep moving, with a true 5 rpm floor for slow, shear-sensitive work.
• Unmixed layers single-direction mixing leaves behind: Set forward and reverse cycles once and the mixer alternates automatically for the entire run, breaking up the ring-shaped dead zones.
