Description
Remote Mixing Control for Draft Chambers and Automated Systems
This model was built for mixing jobs where the operator could not stand at the mixer. A separate control box handled speed and direction, and analog signals connected the mixer to the rest of a test or process setup.
What the BL300RHM Did
- Controls outside the hood: The control box sat away from the mixer, so speed and direction could be changed without reaching into a draft chamber.
- External speed control: An analog input let a sequencer or controller set speed and direction automatically.
- Viscosity tracking: Speed and converted torque were output as analog signals, showing how a batch thickened or thinned over time.
- High torque under changing loads: Feedback control held the set speed as viscosity changed.
Moving to a Current Mixer
The remote-controlled series was discontinued in 2025 and has no direct replacement. Current laboratory mixers keep the high-torque motor, feedback speed control, and forward/reverse timer, with controls on the mixer itself. Models with analog torque and speed output remain available for tracking viscosity with a data logger. Existing units are still supported and serviced in the US.
Need high-torque mixing for thick materials today? The BLH300 High Power Laboratory Mixer holds its set speed under heavy, changing loads with twice the torque of a standard laboratory mixer.
