Air-Driven Solvent Blending at Pilot Scale.

Pilot batches in a room that allows nothing electric used to mean a bench air mixer running past its limit. This mixer pairs a 0.3 HP air motor with the large gearbox proven in the BLW series and a ø13 drill chuck for thick shafts, on a fixed arm rod with no moving parts to work loose under load. Rated 700 rpm with 1.2 N·m allowable torque, for large solvent solutions, inks, and thinned coatings. Nothing electrical enters the room.

• Bench air mixers pushed past their torque in big vessels: The BLW gearbox and ø13 chuck bring pilot-plant torque to an air drive, with a fixed heavy arm rod that stays put under load.
• Air mixers that arrive as a kit of parts: The separator unit with filter, lubricator, regulator, and turbine oil ships in the box with the hose, chuck handle, and clamp holder.
