Welcome to Kett - Tomorrow's Testing Today
Home » Near-Infrared Organic Composition Analyzers
Measure moisture, fat, protein, ash, and other organic components instantly — without touching or destroying the sample. Get accurate composition values in seconds with no sample preparation required.
Kett NIR analyzers are available in desktop, online, and inline configurations — from laboratory benchtops to open conveyor lines to enclosed process equipment. One instrument, multiple components, every test.
Why production and laboratory teams choose Kett NIR analyzers for composition testing.
Get composition data in seconds, not minutes. NIR analysis requires no sample preparation, so you can test and adjust your process in real time.
The sample stays intact after every test. Reuse it for additional assays, reduce waste, and eliminate contamination risk. Online and inline models measure without ever touching the material.
Measure moisture, fat, protein, ash, and other organic compounds simultaneously. One instrument replaces multiple single-purpose testers, saving time and bench space.
Calibration software is included with every analyzer — build and maintain your own calibrations independently. Customers report stable calibrations that hold for years, minimizing downtime and service calls.
One platform handles both liquid and solid samples. Test powders, granules, pastes, slurries, and films across production and laboratory environments.
Once calibrated, every analyzer operates standalone — no computer, keypad, or external display required. Connect power, select your calibration, and measure. Add a PC or display anytime if your process requires it.
A near-infrared light source shines onto the sample surface. The light energy at specific wavelengths excites organic molecular bonds — O-H, C-H, and N-H — causing them to vibrate and stretch. This vibration absorbs energy from the light. The more molecules present in the sample, the more light is absorbed. The analyzer measures the absorbed energy and calculates composition values instantly. Each calibration is built against your primary reference method, so NIR results are directly traceable to the lab values your team already trusts.
Online and inline process analyzers measure continuously — like a flashlight pointed at a moving target. There is no button to press. The sensor reports real-time composition values as product moves across a conveyor, through a dryer, or inside an extruder.
Desktop analyzers offer two modes. In continuous mode, the sensor streams real-time values just like a process unit. In sample mode, the operator places the sample on the turntable and presses Measure. The turntable rotates while the sensor scans the sample, calculates the average value, and stops automatically — displaying final results in seconds.
NIR composition analyzers measure organic components across production floors, laboratories, and field operations.
Moisture, protein, and fat testing in grains, flour, dairy, meat, and snack foods — from raw ingredients through finished product.
Moisture and composition testing for powders, granules, tablets, and coatings during formulation and production.
Organic compound analysis in resins, polymers, solvents, and chemical intermediates for process and QC control.
Coatweight and film thickness monitoring on paper, plastic film, and foil coating lines.
Moisture and cellulose measurement in pulp, paper, and board — from wood chips to wet end to finished rolls.
Multi-component organic analysis for R&D formulation and incoming material QC.
In-line and at-line composition monitoring for real-time process control and batch verification.
Moisture and composition testing for seeds, grains, feed, and raw agricultural products at intake and storage.
Our most popular NIR analyzers — each designed for a different testing environment. See the full lineup below.
Desktop benchtop analyzer for lab and QC. Measures moisture, fat, protein, and ash in solid and powder samples with push-button operation.
Fiber-optic inline analyzer for continuous measurement inside pneumatic conveyors, extruders, and mixers. Mounts directly in the process stream.
Online sensor head for real-time, multi-component monitoring on conveyor belts and production lines. Ideal for high-volume continuous processes.
Our engineers will help you choose the right NIR analyzer for your materials and production environment.
