Motorized Brown Rice Sample Preparation for Moisture Testing
The TR200 improved the accuracy of rice moisture measurement by husking paddy into clean brown rice before testing. For rice testing laboratories and grain facilities, it removed the slow, inconsistent step of hand-husking each sample.
How the TR200 Worked
- Automatic motorized husking: Paddy poured into the unit was husked at about 20 grams per minute, with brown rice and husk collected in separate trays ready for the moisture test.
- Consistent samples: Machine husking produced more uniform brown rice than hand methods, giving more stable moisture results.
- Safe under load: The motor stopped automatically if it bound on a hard object during husking, protecting the unit.
- Serviceable rollers: The husking rollers were replaceable as they wore, restoring husking performance.
Current Replacement
The TR200 husked roughly 20 grams of paddy per minute on a 100 VAC supply.
