Interlocked Guarding That Does Not Slow the Bench Down

Shared labs, teaching labs, contract facilities, any bench where the person running the mixer today is not the person who set it up: this mixer makes the safe state the only state. The full-guard acrylic cover encloses the chuck and the upper shaft, the interlock stops the motor whenever it opens, and the clear panel lets you watch the batch without touching anything. The drive underneath is the BLW1200: 1.2 N·m, 20 to 1200 rpm, feedback control, reverse timers.

Solving the Hard Problems of Guarding a Working Bench

• Overload failures that kill the mixer: The current limiter protects the motor from burning out under load. This is an instrument you service and keep, not a throw-away mixer you replace.
• Overload shutdowns that kill the batch: The same limiter keeps the motor driving through loads that cut ordinary mixers off. Your process stays running and the batch survives.
• Speed drift as the batch thickens: Automatic speed feedback compensates for rising viscosity in real time. No manual correction, no drifting results.
• Guarding that gets in the way of the work: The cover hinges open for blade changes and the shaft height adjusts with it open, so the safe setup is also the fast one. The flat top has no exposed drive shaft to catch anything.
• Unmixed layers in the vessel: Set your forward and reverse cycles once, 5 to 60 seconds each, and the mixer alternates automatically for the entire run. The ring-shaped regions that single direction mixing leaves behind never form.

Built for the Shared Bench

The spark-free brushless motor runs in a sealed aluminum body weighing 6.5 kg with the cover fitted, W157 × D210 × H242 mm, on a fixed arm rod built for the load. A 13 mm drill chuck holds ø12 shafts and the large 12-series blades, and a stop timer programmable from 30 minutes to 24 hours covers unattended runs. The full-guard cover ships separately from the motor and is fitted on arrival. Three ways to order. Motor Only is the drive unit alone, ready for the shafts and blades you already run. The P configuration adds the FS7 blade set and a 500 mm stainless steel shaft for a working setup out of the box. The S configuration adds the CS2 heavy duty stand, completing a full mixing station.
