Low Cost Solids Applications
Kett announces the release of the HB200, a handheld,
portable moisture meter that can be quickly customer-calibrated
to measure specific standard and non-standard products. The
HB200 is designed for use in laboratory, near-line process and
remote QA/QC applications. This simple-to-use device allows the
user to measure the moisture in solids with out sample
preparation or alteration. Simply place the probes on the
product and the moisture content is instantly shown on the large
digital display. Up to 10 different products types can be
calibrated in the instrument, allowing any staff member to
obtain, fast, accurate and reliable moisture measurements -
anywhere, any time!

| Kett Introduces a Fiber Optic Composition Analyzer
Kett announces the release of the KJT270F.
Using near-infrared reflectance (NIR),
the KJT270F measures moisture, fat/oil, protein, sugar, ethanol,
alcohol, starch, basis weight, coat weight/thickness and other
organic substances during virtually any phase of manufacture.
Measurements can be made on a process stream without sample
handling or preparation. The fiber probe allows for access to
spray dryers, fluid-bed dryers, pressure and vacuum vessels and
other bulk processing and handling devices as well as being able
to measure small surface areas such as extrusions and fiber
