Kett Introduces Portable Coating Thickness Gauges

Kett introduces the 330 line of coating
thickness testers, the first economical hand-held units that
non-destructively measure applications in the powder coating,
plating, and surface finishing industries. These units are
accurate to +/- 2%, dependable, and versatile.
The LE-330 uses the electromagnetic
principle for measuring non-magnetic coatings on non-ferrous
substrates, while the LH-330 uses the eddy current principle for
measuring non-conductive coatings on non-ferrous substrates. The
LZ-330 has both technologies, enabling the unit to measure both
non-magnetic coatings on ferrous substrates, and non-conductive
coatings on non-ferrous substrates.
The 330 line has built in statistical
analysis, which includes average, standard deviation, minimum,
and maximum values. Additionally, each model can store up to 99
readings in non-volatile memory, for later use. These
measurements can be dated, and stored based on multiple lot
numbers.
Each model has multiple calibration
storage, increasing the versatility and simplicity of this unit.
Both the LE and the LH models can store four calibrations, while
the LZ model stores four calibrations for ferrous substrates, and
four for non-ferrous substrates.
The 330 units have high/low alarms to
further facilitate the measurement process. Optional printers
allow for hard-copies of the information collected by the unit to
be saved.

Other lines available include the 200
line, which has statistics, multiple calibration storage, memory,

models are backed by a three-year manufacturer's warranty.
