Kett introduces the KJT-100, a hand-held near-infrared
moisture meter that provides instantaneous, non-contact,
non-destructive moisture measurement of both solid and liquid
samples
This portable unit is designed for use in many areas of a
company's manufacturing process. These test areas range from
field measurements to spot-checks of incoming raw materials, and
from vendor audits to final product verification. The KJT-100
operates on either A/C or a battery pack, eliminating the
hindrances that have prevented the full-portability of other
moisture meters.
Using near-infrared light to measure the
absorbance/reflectance of water in a sample, measurements can be
taken without sample preparation or damage. Simply focus the
light, select the proper calibration channel, and the moisture
content is displayed. Measurements can be saved to memory and
downloaded to a PC for automated data collection.

The KJT-100 is accurate to 0.1%, and can measure content
values ranging between 0.1- 100%. Menu-driven operations provide
a simple measurement procedure. Stored data can be down-loaded to
a personal computer, lap-top computer, or printer.
Other models available include the KJT-200 tabletop laboratory
model, and the KJT-330 production line model. All KJT moisture
meters are backed by a one-year manufacturer's warranty.
